Aashiq won the G3 the Chinese Club Challenge Cup handicap over 1400 metres under Jeff Lloyd at Sha Tin on January the 1st 2012.

The Aashiq racing in Hong Kong is New Zealand bred by Viking Ruler out of Join In The Fun and trained by Paul O'Sullivan. Not to be confused with the David Hayes General Nediym 3 year old racing in Australia.
Aashiq (NZ) has been very successful over several seasons in Hong Kong - racing against the very best, including: Lucky Nine; Able One; Beauty Flash; California Memory; Thumbs Up; Sunny King, and others.
