Unfortunately, In the last race on the day Jake had a nasty fall from his mount Safe and was knocked unconscious for quite a few minutes. At the time of writing he is reported to be stable in hospital without serious injury.
In the third race, the Schweppes Plate over 2000m, Lisa Cropp on Noble Park, and Jake Noonan on Turnitup settled down to fight it out clear of the others at the 150 metre. Lisa just getting the upper hand on Noble Park to win by a head.
Then, in the fifth race, the Cleanevent Handicap over 2,800 metres, Jake Noonan again featured in a nail-biting battle to the line on Rusticated. This time his opponent was Michael Walker on Martial Law. After another epic struggle over the last 100 metres, Jake prevailed on Rusticated who got the result by a half head.
But the closest go came in the sixth race, the AGL Renewable Energy Trophy over 1600 metres. In this one, Steven Baster on $ 26 chance December Draw, and Jake Noonan on Under The Hat went nose for nose from the 150 metres with December Draw just poking his nose in front on the line to get the verdict.
