Hong Kong jockey, Alex Lai, continued his winning streak last Wednesday at Happy Valley. Leading jockey Brett Prebble was out on suspension and Douglas Whyte had what proved to be an ordinary book of rides. Alex, on the other hand, had a list of very good chances; and he made the most of it, riding an impressive treble to easily take out the jockey challenge on the night.
Alex is fresh from his Group 1 success in Japan on Ultra Fantasy. That win seems to have boosted his confidence as he continues to ride in top gear.
