The Hong Kong version of Octoberfest continued at Happy Valley last Wednesday evening. Another huge crowd turned up to enjoy the festivities as well as the racing. The speed drinking contest proved very popular, with six finalists quaffing pints of beer in the wink of an eye.
There was plenty of speed on the track as well. Luckily for Brett Prebble, he was on three of the speediest, giving him an impressive treble. In races two and three Brett rode the Manfred Man trained Natural Flame and Turbo King respectively. Then, in the fifth race Brett notched up his third on the Caspar Fownes trained, Victory Mascot.
And Brett came a nose away from making it a quadruple in the first race when his mount, Rocket and Gold, was nudged out of the win by Alex Lai on Amazing Fortune.
