Johannapine showed plenty of promise in winning the opening race over 1100 metres at Caulfield on Saturday the 4th February, 2012. From the inside barrier Dwayne Dunn took the 4yo chestnut mare straight to the front, and then dictated the race from start to finish.
Star Of Giselle was the punters' pick to win the race, but try as she might she couldn't get near enough to challenge Johannapine in the straight. This gives the Mark Webb trained mare three wins and a second from her only four starts. It looks like she is also capable of handling all conditions, having won in heavy going at Sandown. One to watch.
Dwayne Dunn dictating terms to the rest on Johannapine.
