Creswick Stakes 2011
June 30th 2011 09:52
The Listed A.R. Creswick Stakes run over 1200 metres at Flemington on the 11th of June was a high quality winter 3 year old sprint.
Narrowly prevailing was the Mark Kavanagh trained Liveandletdie (Damien Oliver) who held out the very brave Spurcific (Peter Mertens) by the narrowest margin. In 3rd place was the Snowden trained Secession (Mark Zahra), while the ever consistent General Truce (Chris Symons) ran favourite and just missed 3rd placing.
Subsequently Spurcific easily won the Brian Beattie Handicap (same track & distance) at $4.70. Spurcific was the nominated best bet for the day on Speedratings.
