Mediate

It’s good to get that first win on the board.
Especially so when you have spent $200,000 on your horse as a yearling purchase.
At Pakenham on Friday the Mick Price trained Mediate broke through for a comfortable win at his 3rd race start in the R.J. Tyrrell & Co Maiden Plate 1400m ($12,000). Although not a cheap purchase, Price has taken the option of the provincial route, and learning process, with races at Cranbourne (2nd) on debut, then Yarra Valley, before finding success at Pakenham.
Mediate is a bay son of More Than Ready (USA) and Precious Future - she a metropolitan winning daughter of Redoute’s Choice. Precious Future is also the dam of Al's Best Mate.
His grandam is Future World (USA) an imported (US) winning three-quarter sister to multiple US stakeswinner Blue Jean Baby.
Actually this is a very strong US family with multiple stakeswinners in the third generation including Limehouse; Denim Yenem, and Nevisian Lad.
Below is the catalogue photograph (Inglis) of Mediate as a yearling before being presented at auction at the 2009 Australian Easter Yearling Sale.
