Singapore holds many attractions and indulgences for the visitor. If you’re thirsty, you can head to the famous Long Bar at Raffles Hotel to sip a Singapore Sling; if you’re hungry, you can go to the popular Satay Street and feast on delicious meat or prawn satays cooked to perfection at one of the many stalls along the street; if you like to gamble, you can visit either of Singapore’s luxurious casinos . But if you prefer to punt on the horses, or you relish the atmosphere and spectacle of thoroughbred horse racing, you can to head to the races. If it happens to be one of the big race days, you’re in for something special.
So begins the introduction to Neil Murray's coverage of a week spent covering the feature races in Singapore. Several of his photographs were reproduced in articles in RacingWrite.
He has since compiled a photojournalism article that can be easily obtained as a download from his website.
